Hazy Days Route #52

Fifty-two entries into an experimental hazy IPA series is a lot of beers to keep track of, but you know how it goes with a good running bit - you don't stop just because the number's getting big.

You know how some breweries have that one series that just keeps going, batch after batch, each one a little different from the last? Guggman Haus is fifty-two beers deep into Hazy Days at this point, and Route #52 blends Citra with a New Zealand hop called Superdelic, which is either a great name or a slightly desperate one depending on how charitable you're feeling.

Superdelic earns the confidence, according to the brewery - sweet candy, citrus, and berry notes are the signature, and pairing it with the always-reliable Citra gives this one a familiar backbone with something a little different layered on top. At 6.5 percent ABV, it's available in cans alongside the rest of today's Guggman Haus lineup, which makes it easy to grab a few and compare notes against whichever number came before it.

Fifty-two is a lot of chances to get a recipe wrong, and the fact that the series is still running says the experiment keeps paying off. Worth grabbing a can just to see where the count stands next.
