IPA Expedition #27

Guggman Haus built its Great Day base and dry hopped it with Strata and Simcoe. Tropical, strawberry, stone fruit, a little pine. Nothing revolutionary, just done well.

There's a version of "experimental brew" that means something genuinely unusual, and a version that just means the brewery tried a new hop combination on a familiar base. This is the second kind, and that's fine.

IPA Expedition 027 starts with Guggman Haus's Great Day base and gets dry hopped with Strata, known for tropical and strawberry notes, alongside Simcoe contributing sweet stone fruit and a background of pine. At 6.7% ABV, it's available in cans starting today. Nothing here is reinventing the American IPA. It's just doing the fundamentals with a hop bill that actually earns the word "expedition," even if the destination is a familiar one.

Tapping today, in cans, at Guggman Haus's Indianapolis taproom. Sometimes the small experiments are the ones worth trying.
