Hive Mind

A Saturated Hoppy Ale is apparently a hazy that decided to drink drier, with an extra snap. Hive Mind is a first for The EST, made with a collaborator instead of alone.

A Saturated Hoppy Ale, as a category, is not one most people have heard of, which is fair, since The Establishment says this is a first-of-its-kind brew for them.

Made in collaboration with Changing Colours Brewing Project, Hive Mind runs a full-throttle mix of Garston Hops Motueka and Citra alongside Freestyle Hops Nelson Sauvin at 7.0% ABV. The result is described as akin to a hazy but quaffable to the next level, drinking drier with an extra snap while still dripping with hops, landing on extra-pulp OJ, zesty lemon, cream soda, and cotton candy. That's a fairly specific flavor map for a style nobody's used a name for before.

Available now from The Establishment Brewing Company in Calgary. First-of-its-kind is a bold claim. This one seems to have earned it.
