Three base beers, blended, then refermented on two hundred kilograms of fresh, BC-grown Concord grapes. That's a lot of steps for a beer called Got Any Grapes?, but here we are, and it was apparently worth it.
The Establishment bottled the result in clear glass, a first for them, so you can see exactly what you're getting into before you commit. Pop the top and there's a cascade of grape aroma, bright and jammy, followed by a little black pepper and lemon on the palate, just enough to stop it from reading as straight juice. It sits closer to a natural wine than anything they've made before, which was apparently the point.
Calgary's Establishment has built a reputation on barrel-aged sours, so calling this a genuine first for the brewery is not a small claim. I tend to be skeptical of "genuine first" claims. This one holds up.

A beer that argues its own case better than I could.
