What Evil Lurks [Mexican Hot Chocolate Edition]

What Evil Lurks Builds Mexican Hot Chocolate on an Imperial Stout

Adroit Theory combines a jet-black imperial stout base with Dutch-processed cocoa, sweet cream, and warming spices for What Evil Lurks, a Mexican hot chocolate-inspired cream stout.

Adroit Theory Brewing Company's What Evil Lurks pairs two things the brewery says everyone loves: decadent hot chocolate and the warmth of Mexican peppers and spice. The beer starts from a jet-black, chocolatey imperial stout base, then adds Dutch-processed cocoa, sweet cream, and spices.

The brewery notes it isn't served hot, but says drinkers should still get the same comforting character as the drink that inspired it.

What Evil Lurks is available now in crowlers at the Purcellville taproom.
