Burlingame Borrows Its Name From the District Around the Taproom

North Park's Czech-style Black Lager takes its name from the historic San Diego district around its taproom, and its 2025 GABF bronze medal from a roasted, chocolate-forward flavor that still finishes clean.

Not every beer in North Park Beer Co.'s new four-pack of releases is chasing haze. Burlingame is a Czech-style Black Lager, and it arrives with a 2025 Great American Beer Festival bronze medal already attached.

The brewery named it after the Burlingame historic district that surrounds its North Park taproom, an area known for early-1900s architecture in a mix of styles. North Park says the beer draws the comparison out further, offering toasted bread, bittersweet chocolate, and a prominent roasted note - flavors that lean toward stout or porter territory - while keeping the clean, refined finish of a well-made lager. At 5 percent ABV, it's built for drinkability rather than weight.

Burlingame is available for taproom pickup only.
