You ever notice how the more you get good at something, the more you realize how much you still don't actually know? North Park ran straight into that feeling while working on a new West Coast IPA recipe, and instead of getting discouraged, they just named the beer after it.
Always the Student is double dry-hopped with Citra, Nelson Sauvin, and Tangier at 6.8% ABV, landing on dank white grape, saturated citrus, and orange blossom honey. North Park says they're pleased with the result but never fully satisfied, which tracks with the whole point: the moment you think you've mastered something is usually the moment you've stopped paying attention.
Part of this week's triple can release at North Park's taprooms, available for pickup or CA shipping. Worth staying a student for this one.
