It's a Pale Ale at 5.6% ABV, built on Amarillo, AU Galaxy, and Citra, delivering a dank, citrus-forward punch balanced by a subtle malt sweetness underneath. Nothing about it is subtle exactly, but it's controlled, which is the harder trick when you're leaning this hard into hop character.
Oakland's Original Pattern clearly knew what they had when they built the whole release around this name, and having tried the reasoning behind it, the confidence checks out.
