Full Beast Mode is a DIPA overflowing with rich pine and sweet fruit, balanced by a floral bite that keeps the whole thing from turning one-dimensional. It's the sixth and last beer in Original Pattern's release this week, and by the time you reach it, the lineup has covered a lager, a pale ale, a sour, an IPA, and a hazy DIPA. This one closes things out at the top of the ABV scale, which feels like the correct place for it.
Oakland's Original Pattern clearly built this drop with range in mind, and ending on the heaviest, hoppiest entry is a reasonable way to send people home.
