Great Dane Pub & Brewing Co. - Hilldale (Craft Beer & Brewery in Madison WI)

Great Dane Pub & Brewing Co. has been a fixture of Madison’s craft‑beer landscape since 1994. Two college friends (who wanted to give the local night‑out a serious upgrade) built a place where inventive ales, crisp lagers and a menu that reaches from classic burgers to globe‑spanning pub dishes can sit side by side. Their beer list is a playground for every palate, and the variety is impressive enough to keep even the most discerning sipper coming back for more.

The food programme is equally unapologetic. The Beer‑B‑Que Ribs have earned a reputation that rivals the brews, while the lightly breaded cheese curds deliver a melt‑in‑your‑mouth experience that’s hard to beat. High‑quality burgers meet expectations every time, and the oddity of a diet Sprite on tap proves that Great Dane isn’t afraid to be a little different. Seasonal events such as Easter Brunch keep the calendar lively, and the Dane Rewards program hands out perks to regulars without any fuss. In short, three decades of craftsmanship, community spirit and a dash of humor have turned this Hilldale hotspot into a beloved gathering place for anyone who respects a good pint and a hearty plate.
