Azacca Is Named for a Hop Named for a Haitian Harvest God

Azacca, the variety-pack-exclusive entry in Founders' new IPA Collection, leans on its namesake hop's tropical citrus and mango character for a burnt-orange 7.0% ABV IPA.

The Azacca hop takes its name from the Haitian god of agriculture, and Founders Brewing Co. is leading with that backstory for its newest IPA. Azacca is the variety-pack-exclusive fourth beer in the brewery's new IPA Collection, joining session, hazy, and classic entries as a lineup built to cover the range of what hop fans look for.

Founders describes Azacca's namesake hop as carrying an intense tropical aroma with hints of citrus and mango, balanced by a touch of caramel malt for a sweet backbone. The beer pours a burnt orange color at 7.0% ABV.

Azacca is available now in the taproom as part of the IPA Collection variety pack, with wider shelf availability arriving this September through December.
