Say what you want about theme releases, but there is a difference between a brewery slapping a pun on a can and one that actually sits down and figures out what a flavor should taste like. Corporate Ladder clearly did the second thing here.
Golden Snitch is one of four beers dropping for the brewery's "Happee Birthdae Harry" weekend, a gluten-free dessert beer built around bright lemon and juicy peach, then rounded out with vanilla wafers and smooth vanilla for something the brewery is calling a soft, nostalgic dessert. That is a fairly specific flavor target for a beer named after a small flying ball, and it is a nicer bit of craft than the theme technically required. No preorders on this one, and it will not show up in the online store - it is a taproom-only drop, in 16oz four-packs while supplies last.
It releases Saturday at noon on draft and in limited packages to go. Worth swinging by the taproom for, birthday cake reference or not.
