Chance A'Shahrs Spells Out a Pittsburgh Weather Forecast

East End Brewing has canned Chance A'Shahrs, the newest and smallest member of its self-described weather trio of hazy IPAs, a 5.5 percent New England Pale Ale named with a Pittsburgh accent in mind.

East End Brewing has released Chance A'Shahrs in cans, the newest and, by the brewery's own description, smallest member of its "weather trio" of hazy IPAs. The name is a play on "chance of showers" rendered in a Pittsburgh accent, a regional pronunciation the brewery leans into directly.

Despite the "weather trio" framing, Chance A'Shahrs is a New England Pale Ale at 5.5% ABV rather than a full IPA. East End describes a full, pillowy mouthfeel with substantial hop flavor and comparatively little bitterness, a combination the brewery pitches as suited to an evening of conversation rather than a beer meant to stand out on its own.

Chance A'Shahrs is available now in cans at the Larimer and Mt. Lebanon locations, with draft expected soon.
