Gazzetta

Gazzetta doesn't sound like a beer name so much as a newspaper. Willibald Farm's head brewer calls it his favorite in the whole lineup, and at 5.4 percent, that's a defensible position.

Gazzetta sounds less like a beer and more like something you'd find folded up at an Italian newsstand. Willibald Farm doesn't seem bothered by that at all.

It's an Italian Pilsner, 5.4% ABV, and by the brewery's own account it's head brewer Justin's favorite beer on the entire roster, which is either a bold claim or a very confident one. Given the timing of this re-release, right in the middle of a heat wave, it's hard to argue: an Italian Pilsner is built exactly for the kind of afternoon where "extremely refreshing" isn't a nice-to-have, it's the whole assignment.

Willibald keeps this one in regular rotation out of Ayr, Ontario, which tracks. You don't bring back a favorite unless people are actually asking for it.

Available now in cans.

A funny name attached to a beer that isn't kidding around.
