Name: Christmas Party
Start: 2026-12-25
Location: The Church Brew Works

Church Brew Works in Pittsburgh is exactly what it sounds like – a bona‑fide church that’s been given a spirited second life as a craft brewery and restaurant. The moment you step through the doors, the lofty stained‑glass windows and original wooden pews remind you that this place once hosted sermons, not suds. Today the pulpit has been swapped for a bar, and the altar now showcases a line‑up of artisanal brews that would make any beer lover bow in reverence.

The selection is a parade of flavor – from hop‑forward IPAs that bite like a fresh‑cut blade, to smooth amber ales that glide like a well‑written essay. The kitchen mirrors this ambition, serving creative dishes that complement the beers rather than compete with them. For the truly curious, a virtual tour offers a bird’s‑eye view of the seamless marriage between preserved architecture and modern brewing equipment (the meteorite perched at the front entrance adds an oddly satisfying touch of eccentricity). Whether you’re planning a quiet pint with a friend or a larger gathering, the space accommodates both with the same reverent enthusiasm you’d expect from a place that once housed a congregation.
