Gather Brewery and Glassworks (Craft Beer & Brewery in Merrickville ON)

Gather Brewery & Glassworks in Merrickville, Ontario is the kind of place that makes you wonder why the two worlds of malt and molten silica ever bothered staying apart. On one side of the building, brewers are pulling off lagers so crisp they could shave a man’s beard, and ales so rich they might as well be sipping the same tea as the aristocracy. Everything is brewed on‑site, which, in plain English, means you’re drinking the product of actual precision rather than some faceless bulk operation.

Across the hall, glassblowers turn sand into goblets with the same devotion a watchmaker applies to tiny gears (and they actually let you watch the whole flamboyant process). Workshops invite the curious to try their hand at shaping molten art, while the shelves proudly display handmade glasses that make every sip feel like an event. Seasonal beers rotate like the cast of a well‑written drama, ensuring there’s always something new to chatter about.

The atmosphere feels less like a pretentious showroom and more like a gathering of friends who happen to know their way around a kettle and a furnace. Expert instruction, a community vibe, and a relentless commitment to quality turn a simple visit into an unforgettable ritual. Enjoy a pint in a glass you helped create, and you’ll understand why people actually gather here.
