Bains Road Cider Company (Craft Beer & Brewery in Dunnville ON)

Bains Road Cider Company is perched on a working farm just outside Dunnville, Ontario, and it has made a hobby of rescuing locally grown fruit and turning it into small‑batch hard ciders and fruit wines. The crew swears by heritage apples such as Tolman Sweet and Cox’s Orange Pippin, and they aren’t shy about tossing blackberries and pears into the mix. The result is a lineup that tastes like the region itself – crisp, juicy and unapologetically honest – each pour a modest tribute to sustainability and community spirit.

If you ever feel the urge to see where the magic happens, farm tours are on offer, letting visitors wander among the rows of apple trees while the staff (who actually seem to enjoy answering questions) explain the quirks of each blend. Highlights include a daring pear‑blackberry experiment that defies expectation, a beautifully maintained farm setting that feels more like a countryside retreat than a factory, and a catalogue of ciders broad enough to keep even the most indecisive palate occupied. Friendly service and a genuine love of craft make every visit feel less like a purchase and more like a small celebration of good, honest food‑and‑drink craftsmanship.
