Name: Hair Tinsel and Glitter Drinks
Start: 2026-10-15
Location: Slack Tide Brewing Company

Slack Tide Brewing Company in Cape May, New Jersey, is the sort of place that makes you wonder why every other brewery pretends to be more mysterious than a whodunit. The moment you walk in, the roll‑up windows fling open, spilling sunlight onto a generous strip of outdoor bar seating where you can actually see the sky instead of a pretentious mural.

Inside, the atmosphere is deliberately unpretentious—dogs are welcomed as full‑fledged patrons, with a dedicated area that lets them sniff around as freely as the patrons sip their pints. The staff have even introduced a veteran discount, a nod to those who have served and now need a solid ale after the paperwork. For the indecisive (or the adventurous), the extensive flight‑testing options let you sample enough styles to make a hop‑head’s head spin, all without the pretence of a “tasting menu” that reads like a dictionary.

The brewery occupies a new, spacious building, designed with plenty of seating so you never have to fight for a spot, and the layout feels as open as a summer day on the beach. In short, Slack Tide delivers good beer, sensible comforts and a dash of cheeky charm—all without the usual pomposity.
