POG

POG stands for passionfruit, orange, guava, which is also the exact order you'd rank tropical fruit if someone made you pick favorites at gunpoint. Wild State's newest cider just runs with all three at once.

Passionfruit, orange, guava. POG is one of those acronyms that sounds like it was reverse-engineered from the letters first and the recipe second. It was not. The recipe came first, and it earns the shortcut.

Wild State's newest specialty cider blends tropical guava, passionfruit, and Cara Cara orange into something that reads more like a fruit stand than a cidery, which is presumably the point. It's a limited-time pour, so there's no elaborate backstory to dig into here, just a vibrant, fruit-forward cider that showed up in the taproom and is not promising to stick around.

Available now at the Duluth taproom, for a limited time. Don't treat "limited time" as a marketing phrase here, it appears to mean it.
