Bull Shark Attack 2

A sour ale brewed with passionfruit, dragonfruit, prickly pear, and actual gummy sharks was always going to be a gimmick. It just happens to also taste like a real beer.

A beer brewed with gummy sharks in the ingredient list sounds like exactly the kind of novelty that tastes worse than the premise promised. This one doesn't.

Bull Shark Attack ll is a 5.5% Sour Ale built with vibrant passionfruit, ripe dragonfruit, juicy prickly pear, and nostalgic gummy sharks, done in collaboration with artist Sharpy, who also handled the can art. Bolero Snort describes it as potent and zingy on the nose but well-rounded and juicy on the tongue, closer to the actual memory of opening a bag of those candy swimmers than to a beer chasing a bit. Childhood nostalgia is a hard flavor to actually land. This one lands it.

Available now at Bolero Snort Brewery in Carlstadt. Worth grabbing a few before the nostalgia trip sells out.
