Six months is a long time to leave a beer alone in a barrel and just trust the process.
Biere de Riesling is part of Manor Hill's Cellared Selection series, a Blonde Farmhouse Ale that spent those six months resting in Sauternes barrels with Traminer Riesling. What comes out the other end is white grape, apricot, and melon, layered with soft florals and a touch of oak dryness, with a hint of sweetness and light acidity keeping it balanced through a crisp, dry finish. It drinks with the elegance of a white wine while staying grounded in farmhouse tradition, which is a fairly specific line to walk and it walks it well.
Releasing Friday, July 24th, in 500ml bottles and on tap while supplies last, part of a double release alongside Biere de Blackberry. Continuing a tradition is easy to say. Six months in a barrel is how you actually do it.
