Twin Elephant Brewing Company has revamped Slam Time, a West Coast Pale Ale double dry-hopped with estate grown Chinook, CTZ Cryo, and Citra Cryo.
The 6% ABV beer is described by the Chatham, New Jersey brewery as estate grown hop forward, which points to Chinook grown on the brewery's own hop plantings rather than a purchased lot. Double dry hopping a pale ale, rather than reserving the technique for IPAs, is a choice that pushes the beer's aroma and flavor closer to its bigger IPA counterparts while keeping the ABV in more moderate territory.
Slam Time is available now at Twin Elephant's Chatham taproom.
