Creature Comforts built Hopfen! Hopfen! as a refined vision of the pilsner style, using continental European hops for those herbaceous, grassy, light floral notes that pair naturally with European malts. The brewery calls it "a symphony of simplicity yielding endless drinkability," which is a big statement for a beer that's deliberately not trying to do very much. It earns the statement anyway.

Athens' Creature Comforts has built a real reputation doing exactly this, taking a classic style and refining it rather than reinventing it, and a dozen years of lager work shows up in a beer this unfussy.
