Name: Dan Kelly Of Fortunate Youth
Start: 2026-11-27
Location: Rising River Brewing

Rising River Brewing sits beside the Little Lehigh River in Macungie, Pennsylvania, and manages to turn a simple riverside location into a bona‑fide playground for anyone who thinks a good pint deserves a little drama. On the Big Sky Deck, palm trees sway over a selection of flagship and seasonal brews, while the adjoining Rumpus Room houses the ever‑popular Orange Crush Seltzer—something of a cult classic for the summer‑deprived. Live music drifts overhead, and the food truck park is never empty, offering enough variety to keep even the pickiest palate from feeling neglected.

Outside, the scene gets cheekier: swing‑hammock seating invites you to lounge like a lazy cat, while the mysterious “Turtle” beer (which, to be blunt, tastes exactly like turtle‑shaped candy) proves that novelty can still be delicious. When autumn rolls around, a surprise pumpkin slushie appears, reminding you that the brewery’s calendar is as unpredictable as a sudden rainstorm on a picnic. Parking is plentiful enough for the biggest rigs, so you won’t have to wrestle with a cramped lot (the founders, long‑time friends who clearly enjoy a good laugh, made that a priority). In short, Rising River delivers craft‑beer magic without the pretentious garnish—just the right amount of fun, flavor, and river‑side charm.
