Name: Beat The Brewers
Start: 2026-10-04
Location: Common Roots Brewing Company

Common Roots Brewing Company in South Glens Falls, New York, is the sort of place that makes you wonder why anyone would ever settle for a bland lager. This family‑run outfit champions sustainability with the zeal of a child in a candy shop, churning out a rotating roster of fresh, flavour‑packed beers that never feel tired. The brew list is as diverse as a British summer—there’s always something new to try, from hop‑forward ales to mellow lagers, each poured with the sort of precision that would make a surgeon jealous.

The kitchen is no afterthought; it serves scratch‑made handhelds, crisp salads, and wood‑fire pizzas that could coax even the most devoted stout‑purist into a bite. The Nashville Blues Burger—a smoky, tangy masterpiece—has become a quiet legend among regulars. Outside, generous tables sit under fire‑pits, while indoor pickleball courts offer a surprising splash of activity. For those who fancy a buzz‑free alternative, the house‑roasted coffee and the quirky non‑alcoholic coffee‑hop water are perfect companions. Friendly, knowledgeable staff keep the atmosphere relaxed, and the brewery’s unwavering support for the local community ensures every pint feels a little more genuine. (The founders, a family who never stopped arguing over hops, have clearly gotten it right.)
