Name: Wine & Cider Dinner
Start: 2026-10-04
Location: Brooklyn Cider House

Brooklyn Cider House in New Paltz, New York, turns the humble “ugly apple” into something that makes pretentious wine snobs blink twice. The cidery draws its juice from heirloom trees at Twin Star Orchards, letting the fruit ferment naturally with barely a whisper of interference—exactly the kind of hands‑off craftsmanship a true connoisseur respects. Their Basque‑inspired twist isn’t a gimmick; it adds just enough spice to make the palate think it’s on a tiny holiday without abandoning the apple’s character.

The tasting room and the Orchard Pavilion sit beneath rows of ancient trees, offering a view that’s more relaxing than a spa day (the founders, who had been swapping apple‑picking stories for years, decided that a space for dogs and games was essential). Visitors can sample award‑winning ciders while tucking into brick‑oven pizza and farm‑fresh burgers, all while the scent of wood smoke mingles with the sweet perfume of the orchard. Ponds, willows, and a generous layout mean you can stroll, play a game of cornhole, or simply watch the world go by, knowing each sip is the product of honest, meticulous work. Brooklyn Cider House proves that great cider doesn’t need a fancy label—just good apples and an even better sense of humour.
