Red Wing Brewery has taken the dormant brewing spirit of Red Wing, Minnesota and given it a jolt of fresh flavour. After a quiet spell since 1951, this is the town’s first brewery in more than half a century, and it treats tradition like a prized vintage while tossing in a few modern tricks. The result is a line‑up that feels both nostalgic and daring.

The tap room proudly pours the Jordan Creek IPA, a hop‑forward beast that snarls without being obnoxious, and Pepie's Porter, as smooth as a well‑polished piano bench. There’s also a proper Scottish ale, a crisp Kölsch, and even the resurrected Remmler's Royal Brew (a nod to forgotten recipes). Guest taps showcase local ciders, keeping the palate as varied as the clientele.

Food is not an afterthought; the kitchen throws together hand‑tossed pizzas smothered in 100 % whole‑milk mozzarella.
