The Guardian Brewing Co. (Craft Beer & Brewery in Muncie IN)

Guardian Brewing Co. in Muncie, Indiana, is a handful of passionate brewers who take community as seriously as they take their hops. Their catalogue reads like a dare‑devil’s shopping list: the audacious Sex Panther (a Black Rye IPA that snarls with spice) and the bewilderingly brilliant SAPT 9 (Maple Blueberry Coffee Stout) prove that flavor boundaries are meant to be smashed, not merely stretched.

Food isn’t an afterthought either. The on‑site pizza kitchen serves up oddities such as the Hoola Hawaiian and the whimsically named Purple Hippo, each designed to hug a pint without stealing the spotlight. Add a couple of pool tables, a modest selection of high‑quality ciders on request, and décor that feels more “classic brewery” than “pretentious art‑gallery” (the founders (old friends from the local scene) wanted a place people could actually enjoy), and you’ve got a relaxed atmosphere that invites linger‑long conversations.

Whether you’re after a bold new brew or a comforting ale, the variety on tap satisfies every palate. The combination of inventive recipes, solid craftsmanship, and a community‑centric vibe makes Guardian Brewing Co. a standout stop for anyone who respects a good beer and a good laugh.
