Koholā Brewery and Restaurant (Craft Beer & Brewery in Kihei HI)

Koholā Brewery and Restaurant sits in Wailea Village, Kihei, and manages to turn a tropical postcard into a drinking experience that actually tastes as good as it looks. Their award‑winning line‑up includes the crystal‑clear Lokahi Pilsner, a nod to classic European styling, and the Lahaina Haze IPA, a juicy hop‑forward beast that could coax a smile from even the most sceptical palate. The Waterman IPA adds a touch of salty brine, reminding you that you’re on an island, not a bland mainland taproom (the brewers clearly know their way around a grain bill).

The food matches the beers in bravado without the pretentious garnish. Pretzel and musubi plates arrive looking like they belong in a gallery, while the short‑rib French dip and plain‑spoken short‑rib sandwich deliver meat so tender it practically melts in your mouth. Hurricane fries, piled high with spicy mayo and furikake, are the kind of side that makes you forget you ever considered a salad. When the sun sets, live music and a festive happy hour keep the vibe lively, and the specialty craft cocktails provide a cheeky finish to an already impressive itinerary.
