History Class Brewing Co. sits in Panama City’s historic downtown, serving up craft beer that feels more like a lecture than a libation. Each brew wears a name pulled from local legends, while the menu draws on Southern heirloom recipes, so you’re simultaneously tasting the past and the present. The result is a cohesive storytelling experience that never pretends to be anything more than solid, well‑crafted beer.
The venue doubles as a dessert laboratory, pairing sweet treats with the right pint to spectacular effect. Hazy IPAs glide in with crisp, fruity clarity, and the pork‑rind appetizers provide the salty counter‑point a true connoisseur craves. Live music drifts through the space, turning the already cozy atmosphere into a communal gathering spot where locals swap stories over a glass. (The founders, who have a penchant for dramatics, insist that every sip should feel like a chapter in a good book.)
All in all, History Class Brewing offers a refreshing departure from pretentious pretension, delivering flavor, folklore, and a genuinely enjoyable night out.
