Brass Works Brewing Company sits in Waterbury, Connecticut, where two brothers, Michael and David Ieronimo, turned a backyard hobby into a bona‑fide community hub. Their story began with a modest home‑brew set‑up, but today the taproom hums with the kind of energy you’d expect from a town square on a Saturday night.

Every pint has a purpose: the Sasso’s American Boxer Ale pays homage to a local boxing legend, while the Blood Orange Farmhouse Ale blends Belgian yeast with citrus in a way that makes you wonder if the oranges were hand‑picked at sunrise. The Barrel‑Aged Stout, maturing in bourbon barrels, is as bold as a thunderclap and just as satisfying.

The brewery isn’t all serious business; live music from Acoustic Steamer and assorted events keep the atmosphere lively, and the flight board—presented on authentic Connecticut licence plates—adds a cheeky regional flair. Outdoor seating invites sunshine (or drizzle) lovers, dogs are welcome, and a modest array of games guarantees that no one leaves bored. Whether you’re sampling on‑site or grabbing a six‑pack to go, the selection feels like a carefully curated museum of craft, each piece supporting local causes with a generous splash of good‑natured humour.
