Historic charm meets sustainable brewing with a vibrant community vibe

16 Main St, Chester, CT 06412, USA

Little House Brewing Company sits inside a nearly 200‑year‑old stone building on Chester’s historic main street, a former meat market and bakery that now churns out some of the town’s most respectable draughts. The taproom feels less like a museum and more like a lively garden party, thanks to an ever‑rotating list that swings from crisp pilsners to barrel‑aged stouts, all poured under a gleaming solar roof that proves eco‑friendly can be downright attractive.

The crew (who clearly have a knack for turning old timber into modern hospitality) serve flights that showcase both beers and ciders, so even the most indecisive palate can find its match. Seasonal quirks include Halloween‑themed releases that are more clever than gimmicky, and the calendar is peppered with beer‑and‑cheese pairings and trivia nights that turn strangers into regulars. Staff greet you with a warmth that matches the building’s centuries‑old brickwork, and the whole place hums with the kind of community spirit that makes you think you’ve stumbled into a secret clubhouse.

All in all, Little House offers a sustainable brewing operation wrapped in historic charm, a genuine love of craft, and a vibe that makes you want to linger long after the last pint is finished.
