Name: Black Friday
Start: 2026-11-28
Location: Paperback Brewing Co.

Paperback Brewing Co. sits in Glendale, California, and immediately feels like a refuge for anyone who believes a good pint should come with a dash of wit. The moment you step inside, you’re greeted by taster trays that look like miniature library cards – a clever nod to the name that actually works, because the beer inside is anything but a footnote.

The lineup is unapologetically diverse. Their sour series delivers the kind of bright tartness that makes you wonder why anyone would ever settle for plain lager, while the hazy IPA is a study in balance, hazy enough to intrigue yet clear enough to prove it’s not all smoke and mirrors. No hype, just brass‑tack craftsmanship that would make even the most sceptical purist raise a glass.

Seating is arranged in a way that encourages conversation without feeling like a cafeteria (the cat that patrols the bar adds a touch of chaotic charm, roaming from table to table as if it owns the place). Whether you choose a snug corner or a communal bench, the environment is designed for relaxed enjoyment, letting the beer do the talking.
