You know that beer your friends keep telling you about right after it's gone? King Juice has apparently been that can for a while, because Dock Street is treating its restock like a genuine event - "His Royal Majesty has returned" is not a sentence breweries write about beer they're lukewarm on.
The pedigree backs up the fanfare: first place at the Pennsylvania Farm Show Awards in both 2022 and 2023, brewed with oats and wheat for that silky, hazy body, and loaded with Mosaic, Citra, and Centennial for dried apricot, nectarine, and stone fruit character. At 8.5 percent ABV and 85 IBUs, it's a serious double dry-hopped DIPA dressed up in playing-card branding, which tracks for a brewery that calls itself Philadelphia's first craft beer and clearly isn't shy about owning a bit of history.
Cans are back now, $20 for a 4-pack or $90 for a case. If you've been hearing about this one secondhand, this is the point where you stop waiting and just go get one.
