You know that hop character people chase in a good hazy IPA - the citrus, the tropical stuff, the floral edge? Potter's Craft Cider took that same idea and pointed it at apples instead of malt, and the "(re)Introducing" in the name suggests this one has been away for a bit and is worth a proper reintroduction.
Citra Cider is freshly-pressed apples hopped with, unsurprisingly, Citra, which gets you fruity hop character without the bitterness a beer drinker might expect to come along with it. Notes of citrus and pine sit on top, with floral aromas of lychee, jasmine, and elderflower underneath, at a sessionable 4.5 percent ABV. It is a genuinely useful bridge beverage for the hazy-IPA crowd who also happen to like cider, or the cider crowd who are curious what all the hop fuss is about.
It is available now at the tasting room and at retailers nearby - Potter's even keeps an online cider finder if the closest bottle shop is a mystery. Worth tracking one down before the next round of "reintroducing" rolls around.
