A wheat ale with lime is not, on paper, a beer that needs much of an introduction. Tennessee Brew Works gives it one anyway, and it turns out to be worth reading.
Walk the Lime is brewed with Tennessee wheat, finished with fresh lime aromas, zested citrus, and a touch of bitter peel that keeps it from sliding into candy territory. 5.4% ABV, clean finish, the kind of number that quietly allows for a second one without anybody having to discuss it.
The brewery's been at this since 2013, and the case for taking them seriously is better than the label lets on: they helped introduce Tennessee's first commercially produced all-state-grain beer, and their State Park Blonde Ale funds actual park conservation. Not bad for a company that also makes a beer with a pun for a name.
It's only available in Tennessee, in draft and 12oz cans, at their Nashville taproom, with a Lenoir City location coming.
A modest beer, undersold by its own name. That happens less often than you'd think.
